HAVE TRIPODS, WILL TRAVEL
Last year I launched an in-studio series with co-founder/producer Eran Shaysh (of Big Old Big One fame). We dubbed the series Gipsy Pixel.
Our video crew comes together with a chosen artist and studio in front of a select audience to document/record a live studio album. The session is multi-cam'd in real time, combining the richness and aesthetics of a studio setting with the energy and spontaneity of a live performance. The artist gets a brand new record release along with our video companion pieces.
Our latest session features Boston-based band, The Blue Ribbons, a cohesive, eclectic and animated 4-piece we knew would excel in this format.
It was filmed by a 5-person crew and engineered/mixed by Matthew Beaudoin @ Q Division Studios in Somerville, MA.
